Supplementary Platform Information

This page provides additional context about the Gulmaroke platform that complements the main site sections. It covers aspects of the classification system, access process specifics, and known limitations that are useful to understand before submitting an enquiry.

Classification Scope

The platform classifies information within defined subject categories. Items that fall outside those categories are not classified by the system and will not appear in the review interface, regardless of their potential relevance to a user's interests.

Access Process Timeline

The enquiry and review process does not follow a fixed timeline. More complex requests, or those requiring clarification, will take longer to process than straightforward ones. We do not offer commitments about the time taken to complete a review.

Known Limitations

The classification system operates on information that has been received and processed. It does not proactively seek out information beyond its configured inputs. Gaps in coverage are therefore possible and should be considered when assessing the completeness of what you find in the review interface.

Classification Categories Are Defined by the Platform, Not by User Requests

Users can request access to existing classification categories, but they cannot create new categories or alter the classification rules that determine which items are assigned to each category. The category structure is maintained by the Gulmaroke team. If you believe a relevant category is missing from the platform, you are welcome to raise this through the Connect form. Whether a new category is added is at the discretion of the team.

Classification Parameters

The classification system applies parameters to determine how incoming information is processed. The following provides a general description of those parameters. It is not a complete technical specification, and the precise implementation details are internal to the platform.

1

Category matching

Each item is assessed against the available category definitions. If the item's attributes match one or more category criteria, it is assigned to those categories. Items that do not match any category are placed in an unclassified queue for review by the team.

2

Confidence thresholds

The classification process applies a confidence threshold. Items that are classified with high confidence are made available in the review interface immediately. Items classified with lower confidence may be held for team review before they appear in the interface.

3

Multi-category assignment

An item may be assigned to more than one category if its attributes meet the criteria for multiple categories. In the review interface, such items appear under each relevant category and carry a label indicating that they have been assigned to multiple categories.

4

Manual override

The team may manually reassign or remove items from categories where automated classification has produced an inaccurate result. The classification log records both automated and manually applied changes, allowing users to see when an item's category assignment was adjusted.

The descriptions above represent the general design intent of the classification system. Individual categories may behave differently based on their specific configuration. Where you have questions about how a particular category operates, please contact us through the Connect form.
