Platform Functions
The Classification and Review Functions in Gulmaroke
A plain-language description of what each function does, how users interact with it, and what it provides within the broader information-organisation system.
Core Functions
What the Platform Does for Users
Each function within Gulmaroke addresses a specific aspect of the information-organisation process. Together they form a coherent system for receiving, sorting, and reviewing structured data.
Structured Data Review
The review function presents classified information as structured records within a browsable interface. Users navigate between categories and inspect individual entries without needing to process raw data directly. Each record displays its classification attributes, source category, and the date it was processed, giving users a consistent view of available information.
Automated Classification
When information enters the system, the classification function assigns it to one or more predefined categories based on its content attributes. This process reduces manual sorting effort and ensures that related items are grouped together in the review interface. The classification logic operates according to configurable rules maintained by the platform team.
Activity Log Access
The platform maintains a log of classification activity, which is made available to users with appropriate access. The log records when items were processed, which classification rules were applied, and how each item was assigned to its category. This function provides transparency into the platform's processing history without exposing the underlying classification logic in detail.
User Support Interface
The support interface provides a channel for submitting enquiries, access requests, and classification queries to the Gulmaroke team. Submissions are reviewed by a team member who may request further information before responding. The support interface is accessible through the Connect section of this site and does not require an active platform account to use.
Access-Level Scoping
The platform applies access-level scoping to control which categories and records are visible to a given user. This function ensures that users only see the information relevant to their approved access level, and that sensitive or restricted categories are not inadvertently exposed. Access levels are assigned during the onboarding process following a successful enquiry review. Users who wish to access additional categories can submit a further enquiry through the Connect form, describing the additional information they require and the reason for the request. The Gulmaroke team will review the request and follow up to discuss whether an adjustment to the access level is appropriate.
Access Process
How to Begin Using the Platform's Functions
Access to the review interface and classification functions follows a structured enquiry and review process. The steps below describe what users can expect from the point of initial contact.
Submit an enquiry through Connect
Use the Connect form to submit an initial enquiry. Describe the type of information you are looking to review and which categories appear relevant to your needs.
Team review and follow-up
The Gulmaroke team reviews the submission. If clarification is needed, a team member will follow up by email before proceeding. The review is completed before any access is granted.
Access level is determined
Based on the enquiry and any follow-up information provided, the team determines the appropriate access level and confirms which categories will be available in the review interface.
Interface becomes available for use
Once access is confirmed, the user receives guidance on how to navigate the review interface and which functions correspond to their assigned access level.
Not Sure Which Functions Apply to You?
If you are uncertain which of the platform's classification or review functions are relevant to your situation, the Connect form is the right starting point. Describe what you are looking for and the team will help identify the appropriate path.
